Course Content

Course Overview 

Stress is common and always present in any workplace. However, as soon as the level of stress escalates to a point that it affects productivity and the well-being of the organization and employees, stress management becomes important. By effectively managing stress and converting it to a positive factor, employees can increase their productivity and performance, which can lead to improvement of the quality of work and life as well.

This two day interactive training will enable participants to consider the management of workplace stress at an individual and organisational level, and will help participants develop and implement effective strategies to identify, overcome and manage stress at work. This training course is also concerned with assisting participants in developing a common team approach to ensure effective performance and emphasize on self-motivation.

 

Course Objectives

  • Identified the costs and benefits of dealing with stress
  • Articulate who or what causes them stress
  • Identify symptoms of stress burnout and compassion fatigue
  • Review the main work areas that can lead to stress and identify ways to address work-related stress throughout the organisation
  • Create a response plan for stress in their personal and professional lives
  • Recognise the obligation of the manager to assist employees in reducing work-related stress
  • Advocate for enhanced, effective “care for the others” for peers and colleagues
